Student Nomination Story

Mr. Strickland is a phenomenal teacher! As if teaching his 5th graders the required grade level materials weren't a big enough task in itself, he prepared his students for middle school by instilling responsibility, accountability, and kindness. His enthusiasm and positivity have been a wonderful example to the children. Reciting his daily mantra will be greatly missed..."Today is going to be a great day. I'm going to try my best, accept challenges and take risks. I will respect myself, my peers and my environment. I will help others whenever I can. I'm going to dream big. I'm a genius with nunchi and the world needs my contribution more than ever." It has been an honor to entrust my child in his classroom. I am forever grateful for his teachings. ❤
