Student Nomination Story

My favorite teacher is Mr. Gilchrist but we just call him Mr. G and my favorite subject is math. Mr. G is my math teacher and he is the best teacher. Mr. G personality helps me get through tough times. Also, while we are in math class we don't just learn, we have fun. Mr. G can make something boring into fun. His personality is a one of a kind. One time when I wasn't acting like myself like following the wrong people, Mr. G encouraged me to always be myself. He also pushed me to join the National Junior Honor Society. He is my mom's favorite teacher and if he taught you he'd be yours too lol. Mr. G is my favorite teacher because he influences me not only to be a mathematician but a better man in life. He gives us pep talks and speeches on life. In class, he teaches us the easiest way to do the lesson. If I have a A-, Mr. G will tell me what should I do to get an A+. I want to nominate Mr. Gilchrist because he is a funny type of person, but is a serious when it comes to learning. His personality helps me be successful and helps me not get caught up in fights and many more. Just like a couple of months ago I was going down the wrong path. Then when he noticed he pulled me out of my elective and talked to me and from now on I am going on the right path. He holds me to it by checking in with me often. Mr. Gilchrist is my favorite teacher because he pushes me to my limit. He also helps me and my peers be #1. He teaches me how to be the best at math, many other subjects and in life. I enjoy Mr. Gilchrist's class because he doesn't make his class boring he lets us get our giggles out and still teaches at the same time. I also enjoy his class because he always pushes everybody be #1 no matter what it is. Also in advisory Mr. Gilchrist makes us be a brotherhood that could never be broken. He keeps us in order and helps us be respectful young men. This is why I nominate Mr. Gilchrist.

First of all my favorite class is math and my favorite teacher is Mr. Gilchrist but we call him Mr. G. He teaches two 5th grade classes and one 6th grade class. He is cool and funny. Mr. G is cool and funny and is always in a happy or cheerful mood. Mr. G is a good person to be around or talk to about your issues or when you need personal advice or feedback. Let me tell you why Mr. G is my favorite teacher, first things first I had him as a math for two school years in a row in 5th grade and now 6th grade. Mr. G is also my favorite teacher because he loves to teach kids such as me. Also, he cracks a joke when needed. Math is my favorite subject because it started to become easier when he teaches as you go through the lessons and exit tickets. Mr. G, what can I say he pushes me in life by teaching me life lessons for school and outside of school. The lesson came from 2018 the beginning of the school year when I was getting bullied and wasn't speaking up or bringing it to a admin attention. So once we talked to my mom he said Nylah you always have to speak up for yourself no matter what if you are scared or not. Mr. G influences the class to do the right thing. Also, explains to us when it's a time to play and be serious. He is a competitive teacher. He teaches us work hard to be number 1 in the school but not in just in school but in the network/city as well. He wants us to be #1 in everything. I enjoy Mr. G's class. When we do a lesson it seems easy but really it was built to be hard and challenge us but he teaches it so that we can get it. Mr. G is funny. When I'm not in a happy mood he always puts a smile on my face. Even when Mr. G is sick he tries his best to be in a good mood as possible.
