Student Nomination Story
I first knew Mrs. Sosa as a UIL coach for prose, and I wanted to participate. It seemed like she was a normal teacher who wanted to help me become a better performer. The more time I spent practicing with Mrs. Sosa, I found out how she created an atmosphere that made me feel confident to become a better performer and a better person. At one point, I had slumped back into what felt like sadness. Nobody in my house knew of this because I hid it well, but when I told Mrs. Sosa, she cheered me up when nobody else did. Although it sounds so small, but I want Mrs. Sosa to know that her positivity and kindness kept me from the stress of my life's afflictions. She also always told me that I was doing good when I felt terrible because I didn't win in the competitions. Even though I haven't seen Mrs. Sosa in person and have no classes with her, she has helped me out more than she knows and deserves to be recognized for her actions.
