Honored Partners with Teach to Lead

Honored joins over 170 organizations as a supporting organization

Washington, DC - May 15, 2020

Honored is proud to announce a partnership with Teach to Lead, a leading national teacher leadership organization. Teach to Lead, in partnership with ASCD, Teach Plus, and the Department of Education, is dedicated to expanding leadership opportunities for teachers while increasing their effectiveness in the classroom. Their resources and support will enable Honored’s cohort of national teacher Honorees the opportunity to deepen their practices as effective educators and leaders in the classroom which will impact overall student achievement and school climate and culture.

As a supporting organization with Teach to Lead, Honored joins nearly 200 other organizations committed to developing exceptional teacher leaders. This partnership will enable Honored to share innovative ideas regarding teacher recognition, retention, and satisfaction as well as the importance of amplifying student voices, while encouraging educators across the country to become exceptional leaders in their school communities.

Launched in 2014, Teach to Lead was created with the goal of advancing student achievement by expanding opportunities for teachers to lead change and improvement in the policies and programs that affect their work. Teach to Lead’s Teacher Leadership Summits bring together teams of educators to think deeply about ideas to improve learning in their school, district, or state. More than 170 supporting organizations have pledged their commitment to the vision of Teach to Lead. For more information about Teach to Lead visit teachtolead.org.
