Student Nomination Story
Everyone has that one teacher that completely changed her lives. My name is Mrs White. I met her in seventh grade and she was my seventh grade science teacher. She would always let me eat lunch in her classroom because the amount of bullying I received, and not only taught me how to ignore the people, but forgive them. Some days when I was so tired to do anything to my hair I would go to her class before school and she would French braid my hair. Even after I went to eighth grade, I still went to her classroom every single day. Freshman year she was my tutor and help me with any work that I didn’t understand. Sophomore year we fell off because I decided to surround myself with negative people but whenever I realize that and wanted to change, I called her asking to be my mentor when I went to military school junior year and she didn’t hesitate a second before saying yes. For 20 weeks she would send me cards, pick me up for mentor passes and helped me run after an icecream truck so i could get a spongebob icecream. After graduating military school and going to night school i went to her classroom and student teached with her for school credit when in all reality i just wanted an excuse to sit in her classroom all day. Senior year she continued you to let me come up to her clasroom and student teach even though i didnt need the credit for school. She braided my hair for prom so i could wear my wig (which i ended up not wearing) And when it came down to the last week to turn in my work she made me come sit at her desk and keep me on track while she taught her 7th grade science class she has been my second mom for 6 years and taught me so many different things inside and outside of the classroom
