Student Nomination Story

A little about myself is that I’m a hard-worker, quiet, and I enjoy reading. My attitude towards school before I met my teacher was that I didn’t enjoy it, since there was nothing that I was interested in or passionate about. My biggest challenge before I met my teacher was that I was really scared of trying new things and didn’t like to participate in class activities. I also had the bad habit of being too dependent on others, but I have gotten better over the years. My teacher is special because she taught me to be more confident in myself. She has supported me in my goals by teaching me more about agriculture. She has taught all about animals, how to take care of them. and why taking care of and studying animals is interesting. A way that my teacher has changed my life is that I am more confident now with working with animals. Before, I thought it was too complicated and unpleasant. I am grateful to my teacher because I have gained experience and I have managed my fears about learning new things. The way I feel about school now is that now I am more enthusiastic about coming to school and learning new things. My dreams of the future have changed because I am now more interested in the agriculture field and would like to learn more about what it takes to be a veterinarian technician. Though I still need to improve myself, I am happy that I have faced my fears and have been able to leave my comfort zone, which I will keep working on.
