Student Nomination Story

My son loves having Art with Mr. Hebron. He has been very creative with teaching virtually and maintaining engagement and excitement. In the first week of school, he had the students do an "at-home scavenger hunt" for certain supplies. I liked the idea because I could see the dual functions of this activity: getting the students up and moving around constructively (but using a timer to bring them back) and also as a way to evaluate which supplies the students had access to at home. This week, he acknowledged National Hispanic Heritage Month. Prior to the start of class, he played music as an introduction to his lesson regarding Hispanic heritage. Attending school virtually has been a major transition and it is very gratifying to see my son excited for Mr. Hebron's class.
