Student Nomination Story

Ms. Salama is someone who inspires me to explore my new interests within and outside of the classroom. She's one of the nicest teachers I've ever had, and I wish her kindness didn't go let unnoticed as much at school. I feel really upset when students in my class can't simply give five minutes of their time to let her speak in front of the class. In many situations, she has encouraged student driven projects and teaching. For example, she allows us to create our own audio stories and films. Putting little restraint on our creative freedom, she enhances our curiosity. In another instance, she allowed her students to create their own company. Mine was a boba vending machine company. I think often times, teachers have a habit of doing the lecture, assignment, and test routine. In Ms. Salama's classroom, she lets us be the explorers and goes beyond to make sure we aren't restrained in our learning. She has made a major impact in exploring cinema and media as well as entrepreneurship. As a result of her teaching and guidance, I may explore the media and entertainment area.
