Student Nomination Stories
Nominated by: Gavin Weikel
When I started the year, we were totally virtual and I never completed any of my work. Then, Mrs. Jensen became my literacy teacher. She kept pushing me to do my best and gave me the motivation I needed to do my work. Literacy wasn't my favorite class until Mrs. Jensen became my teacher. Now literacy, is the class I look forward to everyday. Everyday, Mrs. Jensen makes every assignment as fun as she can. She makes me feel like I can do anything that I put my mind to. I have been told that I don't try my full best, but now I want to try as hard as I can because Ms. Jensen always gives me the motivation that I need to do my absolute best. I am so happy she is my teacher this year.

If there has been any teacher that has taught me so much and treated me with so much respect, the first teacher that would come to mind is immediately Ms. Jensen. She is so sweet, engaging, and respectful to every single person in and out of the classroom. In her class, it's not only just learning about reading and writing but also about respect, fairness, a good attitude, and amazing values. Her outlook on life is so POSITIVE and she makes it her goal to make her lessons so fun and so perfect. (I have never seen someone put so much work into a slideshow or a lesson plan). Not only are things made to fit our needs in reading but also she makes sure everyone has what they need to do better. If it's a test that you are stressed about or an essay we don't want to write, she is there every step of the way to guide you and lift you up through the process. I found a new passion in writing and unlocked the full potential I never knew I had. Seriously! Some people look for the light at the end of the tunnel, but Ms. Jensen is the constant and reassuring light that leads so many students!

She helped me like Literacy again. My type of class was fun. But when I enter the first day of Literacy I was not excited but when I came I felt happy and I felt like I could listen and work hard. Also I felt like I could want to ask for help. I loved her options she gave me so than I can work better This year was so great with Ms. Jensen she made learning so fun so than it wouldn't get boring. She put time in to hero plans so than projects or reading was not boring. So Thank you Ms. Jensen From Daniel Oxman
