I have been having a pretty rough year with my mental health, so when in school (which is remote) and in public I was never myself. I am typically an A student, but my grades were constantly failing. I never liked expressing my emotions to anyone, but I knew that my teachers would just think I was lazy. I decided maybe to let my favorite teachers know a little bit more about my struggles. I started with Mrs. DeStefano. I told her about my meds, my mental health taking a nosedive, and being diagnosed with PTSD, severe depression, and severe anxiety. She welcomed that knowledge with kind words and could even relate to it. She is so kind and caring and very easily my favorite teacher I have ever had.
