Bonnie Bannister

My son wanted to be in class with his teacher while at Disney World. She has created such a strong connection with my son, that I could only hope he experiences in the future with others. Ms. Bannister uses her time mindfully, giving her students the support that helps them thrive at school. She sits with my son on the swing at recess, encourages him to use craft materials to make his creative thoughts into reality, has supported him emotionally through multiple major losses this year, and provides so much more than generalized education. She is working with kids who have had the start of their school careers significantly impacted by covid, no guidance counselor for assisting these kids, and continues to value the well being of her students. She does the job of multiple providers with no complaints. As a mom, this is the first time in my life that I've felt someone outside of my family care so much, and provide so much support for my son. She has such a tough job, but continues to remain working strengths based despite barriers, and give her class a healthy environment to grow.
