Student Nomination Story
Dear Ms. Spalla, As I reflect on my school days, I realize that you were the first person I truly enjoyed being around. Your classes were a refuge for me, a place where I felt safe, comfortable, and excited to learn. I remember how you brought biology to life, making it more than just a subject, but a journey of discovery and wonder. You were always patient, kind, and understanding, never making me feel like I was less than capable. You saw my potential, and you nurtured it with your encouragement and guidance. You challenged me to think critically, to ask questions, and to explore the unknown. And you did it all with a smile and a sense of humor that made me feel at ease. In your class, I found a sense of belonging that I had never experienced before. You created a community where everyone felt valued and respected, and where learning was a collaborative effort. Your passion for biology was infectious, and it inspired me to pursue my own interests and passions with the same level of dedication and enthusiasm. I'm so grateful for you, Ms. Spalla, and for everything you did for me during my time in your class. You showed me that learning can be fun, that challenges can be overcome, and that there are people in this world who genuinely care about their students. You gave me the confidence to believe in myself, and the tools to succeed in any endeavor. Thank you for being such an amazing teacher, mentor, and friend. You will always hold a special place in my heart, and I will always be grateful for the impact you had on my life. Sincerely, Lilly Goba
