Student Nomination Story

My teacher Anne Korzyniowski is having a profound impact on my life, my demeanor has been affected for the better I went from being short fuzed and antisocial to being much more patient and outgoing when it comes to people. Despite my progress with people I still remain a massive introvert however I have friends that I wouldn't have if I had the same disposition that I had before I met her. She has inspired unprecedented amounts of patience in me which has help me stay out of trouble on many an occasion, (turns out people don't like it when you tell them exactly what you think of them) but I've gotten over that for the most part. Anne also helped me understand how to deal with my relationship problems, when I would be angry she was the first person I would talk to and she would tell me things like not to take some things to seriously or explaining more about how to handle emotional people. (which I'm still not very good at) Knowing how to deal with very quick to upset people has been a useful skill. Anne and I have had many conversations about how my direct speech can cause me to suffer in the future if I don't curb it. She has made me see that people getting offended by how I talk to them is not the best result it may be fun in the moment for me but it wont help me at all. She has affected my academic goals immeasurably; my writing level has gone up a fair extent as I'm seeing the value of punctuation, when I need something to look good. She's helped my writing flow from one sentence to the next like a like a river into a Delta. I went from not using punctuation to using punctuation with great skill in a year with some fighting. I have taken a great interest in her classes I love writing it is one of my passions that I hope to bring into my future to an extent. Writing has always been fun to me and Anne has only made it more fun whether it's through analyzing stories or the politics of factory farming it doesn't matter. My writing skill comes naturally to me Anne has just helped it along the way she pushes me to do more than is needed and I accept the challenge for the reason of I enjoy it. She's trying to push for a college-level class right now that I'm one of her picks for, which I'm very excited about I think it will be a great way to earn some college credits and do something I love in the process of doing it. Anne has inspired me to try harder with people whether helping them with assignments while putting up with all their complaining in the process, or just having a conversation without wanting to without tell them exactly what I think. Anne has helped me use my direct style of communication to my advantage I use it to give feedback a non sugar coated version. Some appreciate it, others not so much. Anne has used my feedback in the construction of her future assignments along with some classes she retaught to different students. If she is concerned with how students will react to an assignment she asks me. I provide Anne an honest opinion of it and then the average student reaction to it which helps her see what she needs to change. She inspires me to lead by example to hopefully get the other students to work at their best level, in a way I try to compete with my friends always trying to outdo them and hoping they try the same. She has inspired me to help others as much as they will allow me and sometimes I push my help on those don't want it but need it.
