Student Nomination Story
Hi my name is Liberty Hull...I am now 15 years old. I have been training in dance under my coach since the age of 7. My coaches name is Tatianna Haynes. I meet My coach when I was 6. I tried a number of dance schools before I found her. I would cry in every other dance school. When I met her, my mom said it was love at first start. I actually remember the first time I started working with her and saw her dance I thought she was amazing! We started having dance class twice a week. After doing dance class with her I remember her asking my mom if she could pack my dance bag with everything I needed everyday. My mom said yes and she began coaching more besides my regular dance class at no extra cost to my mom. Instantly, the connection grew quicker. Next thing I know I was calling her auntie. We began to live together and the connection grew deeper not just in dance but in life. I knew that I loved her so much.. she believed in me and she told me this all the time. She was hard on me in the class but I wouldn’t be where I am without her. She encouraged me even when I didn’t feel I was good enough. I cried a lot in class and she has been patient. I deal with a lot of issues with my dad and she talks me through it. She tells me she will always be here for me and she has proven that time and time again. When in my darkest times when I wanted to give up I remember her saying giving up is not an option. She made sure I was okay mentally emotionally and academically. She is who I desire to be like. She is a dedicated teacher, my coach, my aunt, my mentor, and my inspiration. I hope to be just like her when I grow up. She is truly an angel sent to me. I nominate her because she deserves it. Please make this award hers. Thank you for your time.
