Tasha Battles

Mrs Battles is a teacher that has gone over and beyond for many years during her teaching career. She treats each child in her class as if they were her own. She spends many hours of her own time and spends her own money when it comes to her class. My son was recently out of school due to a tonsillectomy, she had the entire class make him cards and she got a little something for him, along with his homework. My son is smart but easily distracted, he wasn't testing as he should on his standardized testing. Mrs Battles saw this and went to bat for him and requested that he be able to test on his own and his scores drastically improved. During our parent teacher conference I was amazed at how well she knew my son. In a class of 15-20 5/6 year Olds, to know so much about my son made me feel really good about having her as his teacher. He is learning so much and enjoys it so very much. Mrs Battles has been known as an amazing teacher for many years, parents are excited when they know their child will be in her class. We wanted to make sure that she was recognized for all the love and compassion she's shared with so many children over the years
