Student Nomination Story

Mrs. Cameron is an amazing humanities teacher. Whenever you are feeling down or upset she can sense it. She is always ready to joke around. She loves all of us, and never yells. These are qualities that not many teachers have. Mrs. Cameron makes you want to go to school everyday. When you walk into her room you immediately feel a sense of comfort (even though it’s the coldest classroom in the building). When I look at my schedule and see I have her class I can’t wait to see the lesson for the day. She always makes jokes about us, but not in a way that is mean. Not many places have that effect. Mrs. Cameron always makes sure you have what you need. She spends her own money to buy things for us that the school does not refund. She makes sure that we have an opportunity to up our grade. She makes quiz and test questions on our level. Not many people care like that. Mrs. Cameron helps you advocate for yourself. Whenever there is a problem she will encourage you to speak up. She cares about our rights. She doesn’t solve our problems for us she pushes us toured a solution. Not many people want you to speak up for yourself. Mrs. Cameron will always support you. Inside the classroom she will make sure everyone understands the topic before she moves on to the next. Inside the classroom she will make things comprehensible. Outside the classroom she will support you like her own child. Outside the classroom she will take all of her free periods to help you if needed. Not many people are willing to go that far. Mrs. Cameron is one of the best teachers I have ever had. From buying soft tissues for us to taking up her free periods, she is so invested in making the school a good place for us. If I have a part in chapel she makes sure I know it. If I have a Girl Scout fundraiser she will be the first to donate. In the end, Mrs. Cameron is the best teacher I have ever had.
