Congratulations to
National Teaching Award Nominee
Pat Davis
Marion High School, Marion, Arkansas
Student Nomination Story
Mr. Davis has been an instructor at MHS for quite a number of years now. The class he teaches is Construction Technology. While some may believe that this is simply a “shop,” class, it is so much more. This man teaches not only several trades, but life skills as well. He holds high expectations in and out of his class room. From his seemingly endless knowledge in the skill sets he teaches, to the high moral standards he holds his students to, Mr. Davis has touched more lives than we could ever begin to imagine. The man goes to school everyday with a smile on his face and is happy to teach every student. He encourages curiosity and is more than happy to answer your questions and show you why the answer is what it is. He challenges his students and teaches them to think. I myself am a graduate of his classes, as are many of my friends, and we are all extremely thankful for the things he taught us and we will never be able to show him enough appreciation.
