Michael Tsan

Where do I start? Mr. Tsan starts off his day by arriving at school at around 6:30 AM. Yes, 6:30 in the morning. Even at this time, he energetically helps students who come in for extra help, and helps them solve AP calculus problems. He then goes on to teach his day classes, in which his energy level is far superior to the children. Mr. Tsan doesn't drink any coffee, but his tremendous energy somehow makes even calculus seem fun!But that isn't enough for him. He further stays until 5 pm everyday (when most kids leave) to help those who are struggling. He makes up practice problems on the spot, he is patient and he is so caring. Mr. Tsan doesn't get paid for being there outside of his hours, so why does he do it? He is simply passionate about teaching. He has a bond with his students that makes it seem as though he is a highschooler himself. Moreau Catholic High School is blessed to have a teacher like Mr. Tsan be a part of the faculty. If Mr. Tsan isn't someone who is eligible for a teacher award, then there is no one who is eligible.
