What’s makes this teacher awesome is she is a single mom of four girls. Yet she keeps pushing to be the best for her students. She makes learning fun. For any grade she teaches/taught. She is always helping out with the outside outside of her classroom. She makes her her classroom a safe place where any student or anyone can come to her. She teaches what she feels should be taught and teaches that it’s okay to be who you are. She stands up for students as well whether it’s against other students or teachers if needed. She is loved by so many students. Even ones she never taught. She voices her opinions and students opinions. For example, uniforms. She has and does talk about how children should express themselves and shouldn’t get in trouble for “forgetting their belt” which is part of the uniform. And she has left schools in the past because of how they taught. For telling her she shouldn’t teach about lgbtq+. She believes ever child should be taught it’s okay to be who you are. But even without those things she’s a really good teacher too when it comes to science. Oh and another way she makes it classroom a safe place is she talks about her life with the class. Not every little detail. But ones to show teachers have lives outside of school and that they can help if you need. She talked about how she was/has gotten custody of her step daughter to get her out of a bad home. She is nothing but a superhero disguised as a teacher/mom.
