Student Nomination Story
In my opinion, with my experience of being taught by Marcus Brookins for three years have been honestly quite amazing. No one can be on his level with teaching, it’s weird, but the way he teach is just different, which makes him stand out. He’s awesome mainly because he’s one of those teachers that you would be excited to go see or just to be in class. For example, learning how to read music, the way he sets out a format to make reading music easier, it makes it less stressful and the next time you read music you would look forward to it because you know it’s not nothing hard. Marcus has always, and I mean many times shown me he cares for me. He could look at me for one second and instantly know something is wrong with me. Also if I ever need help he’s automatically one of the first people that comes to mind because I know he will always make something happen to make sure I get that help. As a student, I’ve dealt with many hardships growing up, like for instance I never am to sure if I’m ever going to be correct, I’m always afraid that I’m going to be wrong, and he lets me know that it’s okay, and that it’s fine to be wrong sometimes. He helps me get out of being scared that so and so will happen, and just tells me to go for it and stop being so afraid. And also Mr. Brookins has helped me outside of school by helping me and my mother. My mom had an emergency with her car and I called him, and he didn’t hesitate not once to come our way. I made sure when I seen him to say thank you, because what teacher would do that? Marcus Brookins would and will. I nominate Marcus Brookins!
