Student Nomination Story

I’m choosing Mr. Marcus Brookins because to me, Mr. B has always been there for every single one of his students. He has pushed every student to be successful and getting scholarships for his students at any school. Mr. B has been my teacher since the 6th grade, and now I’m in the 9th grade at the school he teaches Oscar Dean Wyatt. Mr. B has pushed me to become successful and he has helped me become good as a percussionist and scholar. I’ve always loved being in Mr. B class because his teaching ways are easy and he thinks like his students and he knows what is a easier way for us to learn and he has learned to understand you as a student and a person. Mr. B gets out of his way to get to know all his students and parents and grows a relationship with them. Mr. B has always told us to never be afraid to make mistakes and always keep trying, and to never give up on yourself. When he tells us that is okay to make mistakes, that making mistakes helps us learn from them and shows our progress, and him saying that makes me feel more confident playing and to not be afraid. This is why I’m nominating Mr. Marcus Brookins because he is the best teacher in my opinion and a good person in general. I can’t imagine any one else being my teacher.
