Kristen Sloan

Ms Sloan goes above and beyond for her students inside and even outside the classroom. She strives so hard to see her students exceed and grow. Majority of her class always gets picked to go into GT classes. If she notices something off with a student she pulls them aside. My daughter had her 2 years ago. She was the first person so get my child reading help when she had been behind since kindergarten and I was never informed. She takes care of a student whose mom leaves her for days at a time. She contacted me on picture day for a different student in her class who came with dirty clothes and a dirty bow. She cares that much that she didn’t want that child to be photographed like that so she asked me for an extra shirt and bow from my girls closet. That goes above and beyond any teachers qualifications. That’s humanity. She always makes sure all of her “babies” have everything they need. They never ever go with out in her classroom. She deserves to be recognized. There isn’t many teachers in this world that care as much as her. Her class is the highest scores in grades for her grade level also. That shows you how much the students love her.
