Student Nomination Story

Jessica started out as a paraprofrssional in the school district. She took night classes to become a special education teacher and graduated ahead of schedule. In her first year of teaching (this current year), she has made her students feel equal among their peers by putting together a special olympics team, a 1st of its kind in the school district. She holds regular practices as their head coach, as any regular student would have. She has ordered them uniforms and even recruits the upperclassmen to help the students hone their skills. My child has never felt so accepted by his peers and he is thriving in school because of this. She gives so much of herself to her students all while raising a blended family of six kids and a new grand baby. I can not say enough great things about this amazing teacher.
