Student Nomination Story
I have always been a person that no matter what situation we are in, I will always try to look at the bright side. I've always tried to maintain positive even in the most painful moments; especially in the most painful moments because that is when you need to be the strongest. But the more you grow, the more you see what the world is really like when being positive. Trying to find the bright side in everything isn't always possible because there comes a moment where you find no purpose in being positive. I have always been a strong willed person, so that positive side of me always tries to push through. However, sometimes I see no purpose in even attempting to try to be positive. Sometimes I am just so drained that being positive is the hardest thing I've ever done. Before I met my teacher, my attitude towards school was not great at all. I hated school and I thought that I was wasting my time coming to school. I had the mentality that this was all just big waste of time and school was just there to make rich people even richer. Before I met Mrs. Taylor, I was determined to drop out of school and get a 9-5 job as soon as I was legally allowed to. Some of my biggest challenges before I met her was being encouraged motivated and dedicated to school.

Ms. Taylor was always there for me if I needed extra help with an assignments or test. She used to let myself and others come in so she could help use with the problems. She will break it down to a way I can understand it, and she will make sure I got it by giving me another problem like that to see if I really understand. Ms. Taylor was hands down the best math teacher. She always gave us lessons on life and told us to be prepared for the future. She, of course, made sure we were prepared too!
