Student Nomination Story

The teacher who has impacted me the most is Sergeant Brown and Randolph because they’ve helped me with projects and daily life problems by giving me advice. For example, when I didn’t know what to write about for a school PBL, Sergeant Brown helped me figure out what I like to do and advised me to write about that in the PBL. Another time that they helped me was when I was nervous or scared about an event that was coming up, like the first competition with the unarmed drill team. In the beginning, I was anxious, and my anxiety was pretty bad, but then Sergeant Brown noticed that the whole team was nervous, so he motivated the team to do their best and that everything will be alright. By the end of the competition, the team made mistakes, but it was fun. Another time when both the Sergeants helped me was when I was in after-school ROTC for the logistics team because I’m the deputy commander while my friend is the commander of the logistics team since we’re having an inspection year of school for the logistics team since it was our first time we started getting all nervous because we didn’t know what to do, so both Sergeants were explaining everything that would be going on so that we could prepare ourselves. Sergeant Brown has given me a lot of advice for my future life, including school and work. For example, he said, “There’s going to be a lot of obstacles in life, but you’ll get over them one way or another .” and also, “You’ll have to take risks to succeed.” In conclusion, both Sergeants have helped me get through a lot of daily problems that I have.
