Student Nomination Story
As I was going into high school, I was extremely nervous not only because it was a new school but also because of all the horror stories I had heard about high school. I started out really nervous, but with the help of my peers and the goofy but wise Mr. Beich, I began to loosen up and see just how truly fun high school can be if you just let go and not worry about what others think about you. He may be goofy but he can also be quite strict about somethings when it comes to how the band looks and behaves. However this part of his job is very necessary when dealing with a bunch of crazy, foolish high school boys and girls. He has helped me in developing my desire to show up early to any event I am scheduled to attend to. That habit has transferred to my life outside of school and will probably stick with me for the rest of my life. He has also helped me in treating others respectfully despite how much we may dislike the person. Not only has Mr. Beich helped develop useful etiquette in life, He has also helped me grow in my playing of my instrument. I may only have had him for Jazz band, but he has given me several pointers on how to improve my playing altogether. Whether it be in music theory, in my jazz improvisation, or in my overall tone and ability. Mr. Beich is very patient, kind, and hard working. He has helped many throughout his years of teaching Band. Mr. Beich has helped my in striving to do the best in life and to chase after my goals and make them a reality. Thank you so much Mr. Beich for all that you have done in my life and I hope that you continue to have such a strong impact on students lives just as you did mine.
