Student Nomination Story
My daughter is 13 years old and she has struggled all through school due to her speech delay. My daughter was 2 years behind on her speech which affected her math and reading skills. My daughter has gone through the birth to 3 program and through many special education classes including classes involving math and reading. In all her years there is only one teacher that stands out and deserves so much praise. Mrs. Steinert has taught my daughter for a couple of years now. I have never seen my daughter progress so much until Mrs. Steinert had become her teacher. I have never seen a teacher take so much pride in her students and care so much. When COVID 19 hit and my daughter had to do virtual learning, Mrs. Steinert went above and beyond to make sure her students had everything they needed from supplies to extra one on one time virtually. Ever since Mrs. Steinert became my daughters teacher, I have never seen her try so hard at homework. My daughter always says I am going to make Mrs. Steinert proud of me! If my daughter was working on math homework on a weekend or weeknights sometimes around 8pm, Mrs Steinert has made her self available to help her with anything she has needed. I, as a parent, like to stay informed of my daughter's struggles and her strengths. Mrs. Steinert has always kept me informed of her progress. If my daughter has a problem with something, Mrs. Steinert always made sure to find a way to help her understand. Mrs. Steinert has gone above and beyond for all her students and has always made her student's education her top priority in life. This is why she is so deserving of such a special honor!
