Student Nomination Story
Mrs. Delmore has always been my favorite teacher, ever since she was a substitute in my 6th grade class I was looking forward to having her as my teacher full-time. She taught 7th and 8th grade social studies when I was in 6th Grade, so I was looking forward to being in her class. My mom remembers that when I was starting kindergarten, at my school's orientation, Mrs. Delmore gave my mom insight on when I should begin learning Spanish. Since I am in 8th grade now, you can tell we have known Mrs. Delmore for a long time. Almost 9 years. When I had Mrs. Delmore as a teacher in 7th grade, she was the best teacher I could have asked for. She always kept me going and always encouraged me to try my hardest. I was always excited for her class because she was the best teacher ever at teaching Social Studies. She was the nicest teacher that I have ever met and she always tries to have a connection with the students on a personal level. She always makes the students feel like she cares about their lives (which she does) and she finds out what they are interested in and tries to find ways to make that happen for them. Mrs. Delmore makes me a better student because she always lets you know what you are capable of and tries to help you grow into the best possible student and person that you can be. Whenever I was sick she would give me however long I needed to get better and I could do the homework afterwards. She never made me feel stressed about completing assignments, and I still completed them on time. Mrs. Delmore always cared about my life outside of school, even to this day when she is not my teacher she still talks to me about my interests and what's going on in my life. She made me feel like I was important and she made me feel like I could always accomplish my goals. Inside the classroom and out, she has always been super supportive and super engaged in my education. I have a strong passion for music and she is always finding ways to help me to grow in that and even just talk to the right people that can help me to achieve my goals. Mrs. Delmore inspired me to do the best in school I possibly can and to always try my hardest because in the end it really does pay off. I've had straight A's every school year but the year she was my teacher it felt like I truly earned it.
