Student Nomination Story

I believe that Ms. Pressler should get this award because she is a truly amazing teacher; she has always been there for her students, no matter what. Ms. Pressler makes sure that her students understand the material we are learning in class and will reteach a part if someone is confused. Throughout this school year, Ms. Pressler has helped all of her students so much; no matter if they were Hillcrest kids or Bonneville kids, she tried to bond with them as much as she could. When we transferred from Hillcrest to Bonneville, all of the kids from Hillcrest were really upset, so we're a lot of the teachers, but Knowing that Ms. Pressler was going to be teaching sixth grade at Bonneville made me feel so much better going into this school year. She made sure all of her Hillcrest kids were okay and helped us talk more about the changes that were happening in life. Ms. Pressler has taught me so much this year; she does word of the day, and this helps me have a more professional vocabulary. She has even taught me stuff that she didn't need to teach me, like how to cross cancel. I didn't understand how to do it, but she made so much sense. Now that the end of the school year is coming to an end and we sixth grade students have the opportunity to go to Lagoon Amusement Park, she is encouraging us to stay on task and earn the points we need to earn so we can go. She is also helping us so much before we start state testing; she tells us to try our best and to stay focused. Many, if not all, of us sixth graders will miss Ms. Pressler very much next year when we move into junior high. Ms. Pressler is my favorite part about going to school, and she cares about her students so very much. Ms. Pressler is that one teacher everyone talks about. That one teacher that comes one in a million. It is very rare to have a teacher as amazing as Ms. Pressler, and I am very lucky to have her as my teacher. She is truly amazing, and I am so grateful for her! Thank you, Ms. Pressler. I really appreciate you and everything you have done for me!!
