Student Nomination Story

Mr. McHugh has really made me love music! He puts a lot of work into writing and directing musicals for our school. Last year we did one called Christmas Down Under. It was about Christmas in Australia. This year we did one about the Beatles, and I love Beatles music now! He also did a musical for the younger kids and my brother was in that one. It was fun to watch. I hope he lets us do a musical about Queen next year. We are learning to play the recorder, and he made it fun by letting us earn belts (like karate belts) when we learn new songs. I can't wait to get to 5th grade so I can be in the band. He leads the band too. Mr. McHugh has made it so fun to learn music! He is a great teacher!
