Student Nomination Story

When I first entered Coach Lucas' class, I hated history. I thought it was a very dull class, and I never enjoyed it. Once he actually started teaching, history became my favorite subject. Most coaches are not good teachers, but Coach Lucas is the exception. He was strict, but he also respected his students. Coach Lucas listened to what his students had to say. He always went above and beyond for his students and athletes. Coach Lucas coached several basketball teams which went to the state tournament. He has also coached several track teams which made it to the state track meet. His athletes even won the state track meet 2013 while setting many 1A running records. Because of Coach Lucas, I know that I can do whatever I set my mind to. He has changed my outlook on life. I am grateful for all that he has done for my peers and me.
