Student Nomination Story

Ms. Kilmurray makes learning fun! She takes us on awesome field trips, has us work on Diet Coke and Mentos rockets, and she reads stories to us. She cares about us and makes us want to be in her class. She gives me support and confidence. I am ready for sixth grade and beyond because of her. From Nate’s mom: Mrs. Kilmurray has been battling cancer, and though receiving treatment she continued to teach and inspire young people. She gives her whole heart to her students. Her passion for science and math gets young people excited. She does the things that kids love, like her poetry cafe, even though it requires a lot of extra time, effort and money. She deserves this and much more for what she does for those students lucky enough to have her as their teacher. Thank you for considering her.
