Student Nomination Story

Mrs. Young has always been here no matter what the situation is. She always makes me feel like I can do and accomplish anything when my anxiety and depression is at it’s worst. She is always the first one to make sure I have all the tools I need to get through hard times and fights to make sure all my accommodations are met. She fights harder for me at my IEP meetings and she is the reason I like school again. I was bullied in elementary school and have had a rough time, but Mrs. Young has been more than just a teacher to me. She has been my biggest advocate no matter what she is going through and she always puts me and any other student first. She will take time out of her already busy day to make sure I am ok. To me she is teacher of the year everyday and every year. If anyone deserves award and recognition, it is her.
